The Armistice Day / Veteran's Day Honoring Ceremony at Coldwater Spring was a great day, with about 100 people showing up for the event.

Many people spoke of the water, life, war, struggles, and peace. But I think the one statement made that summed up the entire event was, “It’s not that there is too much Anger and Hatred in this world, it’s that there is not enough Love and Compassion”.

Special thanks to the Minnesota Veteran's for Peace, John & Cher, the Mendota Mdewakanton Dakota Community and all who made this most special day possible, especially Mr. James Olson of the NPS, Bureau of Mines TCRC Closure Team, who worked his holiday to open the Bureau of Mines, to allow the celebration at Coldwater, and the grandfather bald eagle who flew in to perch and be with us before soaring on down river.

A great day to be.
